What I Did This Summer

Though my summer vacation is already over.

As an academic, I have summers “off.” That means I don’t teach. It doesn’t actually mean that I don’t work. I do like it; I have things to do, but my schedule is mostly my own. (Sadly, this summer much of it has involved doctor appointments, which we’ll get to later.)

My main summer project is an article on the Supreme Court’s recent Second Amendment decisions, which I didn’t start until this month because the Court didn’t cough them up until the very end of June. That meant they came out just before we left for our family beach vacation. I spent June promoting my Seductive AI book, doing other writings (a review of Carson Holloway’s No Liberty to Libel, a book on overturning the Sullivan case) and, sadly, doctor appointments.
