God bless you for what you do – been with you for many years and it’s just a pleasant part of my daily life for which I’m grateful. I’m glad the Substack is a way to say thanks back.

I don't know exactly when I started reading Instapundit, but I think it was on 9/11. I was at work, desperately searching the Internet for information about what had happened/was happening. If not then, then shortly thereafter. I've been a fan ever since.

I think I've been with you from the beginning. You're a national treasure..as is Don Surber. Congratulations, keep it up.

Congratulations, Glenn. Has it occurred to you that you’ve been blogging for a tenth of the existence of the Republic?

I was stonkered to realize that I’ve been alive for more than a quarter of the Republic! If I make it to 90 it’ll be a third. I remember the Bicentennial: The Founders seemed unimaginably remote. I can’t really say they seem less remote now, but I guess I can prove arithmetically that they weren’t.

I've been with you since within a month or so after 9/11, that time when all of us were desperately searching for news that we could trust. I browse X every few days, but yours is the site I turn to reflexively--it is in the short list of bookmarks I have grouped together under my "Check Daily" folder.

Congratulations! I started blogging in 2002, initially as PhotonCourier and then on the Chicago Boyz group blog.

Thank you, Glenn, for helping so many others in the Blogosphere. Thank you for bringing to the public's attention stories and angles the media ignores or covers with David Burge's pillow.

I'm in my mid 40s. I grew up as highschooler listening to Rush and reading WSJ editorial page. After college I would read best of the web. James kept referencing "Instapundit". Eventually I clicked on a link and 20+ years later I still check Instapundit multiple times per day. Rush is gone and my WSJ sub has lasped but except for Lent when I try to take a break from the news, Instapundit remains. Congrats Glenn and Thanks!

"Instalanche" momentarily crippled a lot of sites.

I’ve been with you since 9/11. Aside from the well-chosen links, one of the reasons I immediately respected you was that you would assiduously correct yourself if you came upon later facts that contradicted something you might have said previously. That degree of courageous honesty was rare then and still is.

Congrats! Didn't realize it was the same day as my anniversary. 49 wonderful years (right, honey?).

In 2001 I was living in a rural area in SE Indiana, just west of Cincinnati, OH. We didn't even have Internet available until late in 2003, when our local phone company made it possible. (Didn't have cell phones either until 2006.) I'm not sure when I found your site, but I've been reading it for years. I got on Blogger around 2007, and switched to Substack a couple of years ago. I have a college degree, but for various reasons I ended up working in construction for 40 years--mostly home repair and remodeling, but some new construction (most of that in the late '80s and '90s). Now I'm a retiree on a limited income. I can't afford to subscribe to everything I like to read, but I have paid subscriptions to you and Don Surber, and free ones to several more. I don't have that much audience on my own site, but I get a lot of likes when I comment on Surber's. Anyway, thanks for playing your role in giving us an alternative to the TrashMedia!

We’ve been reading Instapundit since the Virginia Postrel recommendation — long time now. One of my daily checks.

The best damned blog around — probably one of the best sources of info anywhere!

I started reading Instapundit after 9/11 when pre-completey-bat-shit-crazy Andrew Sullivan recommended it.

Besides the great site, one of the best things about Glenn Reynolds is his incredible generosity toward other bloggers (like me at The New Editor), not only with his links, but with his personal tips.

Glenn Reynolds is a national treasure!

Glenn - I've been an Instapundit reader since 2009 and it's become my morning NY Times. I also check in during the day whenever I can. It's provided me access to stories and writers I would've never heard of otherwise. Also, as someone who worked in universities for nearly 25 years, finding your blog in 2009 was like getting access to Radio Free Europe in the Soviet Union. Congrats again! David Pesci

My goodness how time flies so quickly. I think it was a link from Best of the Web that led me to Instapundit. Taranto was so good, it's hard to describe how on point he made that column, absolutely a must read. Also, I read Forbes at 14 too! My father (a librarian) subscribed and we often talked about the articles. What a great magazine it was then! We also discussed the WSJ opinion page, which also really helped form many of my thought processes. I felt like Instapundit was an extension of that, and the wide range of links was incredible. Instapundit is deservedly famous for broadening the discussion parameters, exposing (me, at least) one to many different writers and opinions. Thank you for all the hard work and such a positive effect.
